Panel theme: What will be the effect of using AI for Java development?

The beginning of 2023 brought a lot of fuss with the presentation of ChatGPT’s new performances. This bot developed by the OpenAI company was able to talk in natural language with a human interlocutor, answer questions, write poems and even software programs.  

One of the questions that quickly arose was: could such a tool based on AI replace, totally or to the greatest extent, program developers? Based on the results of about one and a half year, we’ll perform an analysis, we’ll provide pros and cons, major challenges, and we’ll make some demonstration of the usage of AI for Java development.
