Vlad Măcelaru is a co-founder of ClarK, a startup that develops augmented reality glasses designed to enhance workplace safety and productivity. The innovation has won multiple accolades, including “Startup of the Year” at Innovation Labs and international recognition at events like NASA’s Space Apps Challenge
He pursued his studies in Japan and the Netherlands, graduating from Fontys University of Applied Sciences. His international experiences included internships and consultancy work in Rotterdam and Tokyo, where he developed his skills in marketing and innovation
In 2017, Vlad represented Romania as a youth delegate to ONU. At the 72nd General Assembly in New York, he delivered a speech addressing the challenges faced by young people globally, while participating in high-level meetings and discussions with youth representatives from over 30 countries.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Vlad co-founded viziere.ro, a nonprofit initiative that produced and distributed over 250,000 face shields to medical personnel and vulnerable communities across Romania, providing essential support during the health crisis.
