He is the author of the original Java Performance Tuning Workshop.
In 2006, Kirk was named a Java Champion for his thought leadership in the Java performance space. He speaks frequently at user groups and conferences.
Kirk is currently employed as a principal engineer in the Java Engineering Group at Microsoft.
