Joe Mastroianni – Trimble

Over the past 15 years, Joe has assumed many technical roles. From web development, to server administration to cloud architecture and data domain modeling, Joe’s interests span a wide range of disciplines.
As a Distinguished Engineer with Trimble, he has most recently focused on many aspects of data, including deep dives into domain and data modeling in addition to evaluation of different data storage technologies and appropriate cases for their use.

The amount and the structure of the data to be stored increased a lot and varies from application to application. Multiple database technologies have been developed in the past years and each one offers advantages and disadvantages. Each “can” can be used as a general store, but should you?
