Cătălin Cioloca is an old friend of AgileHub. We first met in 2014 and started to contribute shortly after. With many years of experience, he was involved in Web based applications both at his job and at the startup he created in San Francisco area. His favorite topics for a long time were Javascript and React. He then discovered a new topic, Blockchain, that he shared with IT community at Peak IT last year. His calm attitude, his warm voice and his patience have gathered many appreciations in these years.

Workshop: First steps into Mobile Dev with React Native

The goal of the workshop

The goal is to create a basic mobile application using react native for both Android and IOS. To understand how is different from React and how the react files are being converted into native code for each OS.

What will we do in this workshop?

The workshop will take you from how to setup a react native application, how routing works, how to use react-native components and what Flex means for react native. We will create an application that you can install on your phone.

You are in the target of the audience if you: 

• to have knowledge of Javascript and React.
  

What will you learn at the end:

You will learn how to create mobile applications leveraging your React and Javascript knowledge.
