Presentation 1: Beyond the AI Hype: Boosting Productivity While Staying in Control with SemanticKernel

The AI hype has driven many companies to integrate large language models (LLMs) into their products, often without a clear purpose or strategy. This rush to adopt AI can lead to unnecessary features, unreliable systems, and costly mistakes. But what if there was a way to use AI effectively while maintaining control? That’s where SemanticKernel comes in.

In this talk, I’ll introduce the SemanticKernel SDK and show how it allows AI to automate workflows, run code, and interact with external systems—all while maintaining strict boundaries to ensure security, precision, and reliability. SemanticKernel helps developers give AI the freedom to act where it’s needed, without letting it overstep.

By the end of this session, you’ll see how SemanticKernel provides the balance required to build smarter, more secure applications in today’s rapidly evolving AI landscape.

Presentation 2: Launching a SaaS with AI as Your Co-Founder

Starting your own SaaS can feel like an impossible task, especially when you don’t have all the skills required to bring an idea to life. Many developers put it off, thinking they need to master every aspect first. But with AI, those gaps are easier to bridge, helping you focus on what you do best. In this talk, I’ll share my personal experience of launching a SaaS solo and reveal how AI can play a practical role in making your product a reality.

We’ll then see how launching a SaaS also forces you to think differently. As a developer, you’re focused on clean, scalable code. But as a business owner, you need to prioritize costs, timelines, and resources. You also have to communicate effectively with users and navigate challenges like taxes and bureaucracy. Balancing these perspectives doesn’t just help you create better products—it makes you a more valuable and adaptable professional in today’s competitive job market, where technical skills alone are no longer enough to stand out.

By the end of this talk, you’ll see why launching a SaaS is more than just building a product—it’s a career-transforming exercise in growth, creativity, and problem-solving that every developer should experience at least once.
